Summer in Ticino

I was just looking back through some old photos, and remembered how beautiful Ticino was last Summer when I visited. The south of Switzerland.. but it really felt like Italy.

Bustling Basel

This Picture was taken just a few hours ago, in the main shopping street of Basel. A lot of people were out at the Sales trying to get a bargain.
I got to the top of the street, took one look, and turned around!  Its even more busy than it was prior to Christmas!

Street Art in Berlin

 I went to Berlin recently and was amazed at the amount of street art I saw whilist just walking around. Particularly in the Kreuzberg Neighbourhood there was so much to see.

These pictures stood out for me.

The first is the sign for the local Fire Brigade, and the second seems to just be painted on a regular apartment building.

It was wonderful to walk around and come accross them.













I also loved the East Side Gallery, where many artists had painted murals on an remaining section of the Berlin Wall to signify Freedom.

An eerie feel in Jersey

I went to the Island of Jersey recently for a couple of days, and managed to get some wonderful images. Experimenting with the Colour options on my Compact Camera (Canon S90) produced these images which I think sums up for me the feel of the place. Slightly eerie, but a rugged and beautiful landscape.
